Flu Vaccinations

In mid-September 2022 patients of Ballards Walk Surgery and the Gore will be able to receive their annual flu vaccination. If you would like a flu vaccination please contact the surgery on 01268 962975. With lockdown restrictions lifted across the UK it is important that you get your vaccine if advised to.

The Flu vaccination is given to those who are:

Those aged 50-64 with no other health conditions will be offered the vaccine at a slightly later date- please check the website for further announcements.

July 19th Covid-19 Restrictions Change

Due to onoing Covid concerns.  The Government still recommends that face coverings be worn in hospital and healthcare settings.  As such, both Ballards Walk Surgery and the Gore Surgery still require you to wear a face covering when attending the practices in person. .This is for the safety of both you, the patient, and our staff at both sites.

Patients concerned that they may have been in contact with someone who has Covid-19, or has contracted COVID-19 themselves, please check  NHS111 online. Please do not attend the GP practice.

STAY AT HOME IF YOU HAVE CORONAVIRUS SYMPTOMS

  • Dry Continuous Cough
  • High Temperature 37.8 or above
  • Shortness of Breath

Proof of Vaccination Requirements

With the ending of lockdown within England, it is increasingly likely that certain businesses and venues will require proof of your vaccination status.  In some instances the card you recieved when you got your vaccince will not be deemed as sufficient proof.  If you have a smartphone, the easiest way is to download the NHS App.  If you had your Covid-19 vaccinations in the UK, they will appear in the app, along with a scanable QR Code.  Additionally you can apply for an NHS COVID Pass either through the NHS Website, or by calling 119.  If you have no access to a smartphone, or a laptop/computer, calling 119 will enable you to have the Covid Pass posted to you. If you choose this option, please be aware that it can take up to 5 days for the letter to reach you.

As this is an NHS service you DO NOT need to pay for your vaccination or your Covid Pass.
