Spring Booster COVID Vaccinations!
Booster doses are an important part of protecting yourself from COVID-19 if you are at higher risk from severe COVID-19. Like some other vaccines, levels of protection may decline over time. Booster doses help boost your antibodies and give you good protection from becoming seriously ill or needing to go to hospital if you catch COVID-19.
The NHS should contact you if you're eligible for a seasonal booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this spring.
You may be offered a seasonal booster if you:
- are aged 75 or over (you need to have turned 75 on or before 30 June 2023).
- live in a care home for older adults.
- are aged 5 or over and have a weakened immune system.
Please click on this box to take you to a leaflet which will provide you with more information about the vaccine and eligibility.
We will be in contact with patients when we have further information when the boosters will be up and running, and the location of whereabouts you are able to have a vaccine.
The George Hurd Centre
Patients of the Gore can contact the surgery on 01268 542 901. To access the new surgery, please use the entrance to the left of the main door, as per the signpost. A prescription box is outside the new surgery entrance, any prescriptions or paperwork can be deposited here.
There is no available parking for patients of the surgery at the George Hurd Centre, and the surrounding area is permit only. If you have to drive, your appointment can be made for Ballards Walk Surgery instead. We recommend you leave an additional 5 minutes prior to get to your appointment if driving.
If you are more than 10 minutes late past your appointment time, then it is the clinicians decision as to whether they see you.
